Pikku Support

Requirements

• iPhone or iPad with iOS or iPadOS 26.5 or later.
• Access to the photos you want to review in Apple Photos.
• An internet connection if authorized photos are only available in iCloud.

Photos access

Pikku can work with limited or full access. Limited access lets it use only the photos you authorize. Full access lets it browse the entire library, display its timeline, and automatically maintain album organization.

To change access, open Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > Pikku on your device. If your device manages or restricts these permissions, you may not be able to change them.

iCloud Photos

If an image isn't stored on the device, Apple Photos must download it from iCloud before Pikku can show it at full quality. Check your connection and confirm that Photos can open the image. On cellular, expensive, or constrained connections, Pikku reduces prefetching and may request a smaller representation.

Classifications, Favorites, and albums

Pikku stores decisions locally. With sufficient access, it can also create and maintain Pikku albums and mark images classified as Favorites in Apple Photos. Dislike never deletes a photo. Pikku also doesn't edit pixels or duplicate the originals.

Albums and Favorites applied in Apple Photos remain there if you uninstall Pikku. You can manage them directly in Photos.

Privacy

Photos and their metadata are processed locally. Pikku doesn't send them to Trellic Studio, requires no account, and includes no advertising, analytics, or tracking.

Don't send private photos, locations, photo-library identifiers, or other confidential information. If a screenshot is essential, hide personal content first.
